Sally has been a qualified nurse for nearly 20 years, specialising in cancer care since 1998. Sally further her career with a master’s degree in advanced nursing practice as part of her professional development in the role of nurse consultant in breast care. Becoming the first nurse at East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to be clinical lead for breast services.
Sally joined Breast Cancer Now in January 2022 to lead their nursing, healthcare professional engagement and health information department. She is keen to explore innovative ways to support those affected by breast cancer. With a particular interest in all aspects of patient communication, as she continues to be an advanced communication skills facilitator, delivering training to healthcare professionals.
