PANS PANDAS UK
PANS PANDAS UK is a small charity working hard to support and champion people living with the neuropsychiatric disorders PANS and PANDAS.
These conditions develop very suddenly in the wake of common infections like Strep A, Covid-19 and chicken pox when a misdirected immune response causes subtle changes in the brain.
Seemingly out of the blue, people with PANS and PANDAS develop an array of life-changing symptoms such as severe OCD, eating restrictions, tics, changes in cognitive function and many, many more. Symptoms are often truly devastating for those affected and their families. Children and young people with these conditions often struggle to attend school or see their friends.
We are the only UK charity supporting people living with PANS and PANDAS. We are determined to work towards a future where these incredibly tough but treatable conditions are diagnosed quickly and treated promptly.
