Dr Fiona Stark
Locum GP and West of Scotland First 5 Co-Chair, NHS GGC
Dr. Fiona Stark is a First 5 GP currently working as a locum in the West of Scotland. With professional interests in women’s health, inclusion health medicine and medical education, she enjoys working in a variety of practices alongside various non-clinical roles.
Fiona currently serves as the West of Scotland First 5 Co-Lead, advocating for early-career GPs, helping organise faculty events and engaging in research opportunities to help drive positive change within the profession. She has helped revive the West of Scotland Inclusion Health Interest Group, providing CPD and networking events to help understand how GPs can best support marginalised patient groups, and she is a primary care representative on the Scottish Sodium Valproate Working Group, contributing to policy discussions to ensure patient safety. Following her intercalated degree ‘Teaching in Medicine’, she has been passionate about medical education though out her career and currently enjoys working for Glasgow University alongside her other commitments.
