Dr Stephen Hawkins

Stephen Hawkins completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool in 2000 before training in haematology within the Mersey Deanery. He subsequently completed a PhD also at the University of Liverpool, combining laboratory research with a clinical lecturer role. He became a consultant in 2011 and has since developed a sub-specialty interest in myeloma, amyloidosis and other plasma cell disorders with a growing portfolio of clinical trials, as local principal investigator or UK chief investigator. He has been on the writing committee for relevant British Committee for Standards in Haematology guidelines.
