Dr Maryanna Tavener

AiT Vice Chair, RCGP

I worked in research physics, nuclear energy, climate change, and arts & music before re-training in medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’. My path to medicine has been via the health effects of the Chernobyl accident, involvement in the Marfan Trust, and caring for close relatives with chronic and acute illnesses. Not conventional, but fascinating, I do love the detail as well as the bigger picture. I am now in my final year of GP specialty training, and I have been delighted to be involved with the RCGP as GP Registrar Vice-Chair 2023-24 during this pivotal time in general practice and training.
