Dr Judith Hayward
GP / GPwSI in Genetics / Primary Care Lead for National Genomics Education / RCGP Joint Clinical Representative for Genomics, Affinity Care / RCGP
Dr. Jude Hayward is a GP in Bradford and GPwSI in Genetics / Genomic Medicine with the Yorkshire Regional Genetics Service, within which she provides a clinical service for Familial Cancer, Inherited Cancer Predisposition Syndromes and Neurofibromatosis Type 1. She has longstanding interests in education, workforce development and implementation of Genomics in the context of Primary Care. She is Primary Care Lead for National Genomics Education and Co-chair of the Primary Care Special Interest Group in Genomics within the NHSE/I Workforce Steering Group. She has an interest in Genomics-informed prescribing (Pharmacogenomics). As RCGP Joint Clinical Representative for Genomics with Dr. Imran Rafi she represents the RCGP on several national programmes and co-led an educational needs assessment which informs the RCGP Curriculum Genomic Medicine content. As Primary Care Lead for NEY GMSA, she co-led transformational projects 'Familial Hypercholesterolaemia' and 'Rare Disease Pathway Mapping'. She is also a cellist and a runner.
