Dr Catherine Fernando

Dr Catherine Fernando graduated from Aberdeen Medical School in 2001. She completed MRCP before choosing a career in General Practice. She has now been a GP for 16 years and works both as a salaried and a locum GP in East Lothian. Catherine developed a passion for dermatology while studying for the Cardiff Diploma in Practical Dermatology, for which she was awarded a distinction in 2022. She is now a regular speaker on topics in Dermatology at national Primary Care conferences and webinars, and a tutor for the Edinburgh Regional GPST Training program. She has written several articles on skin conditions which have been published in Guidelines in Practice (Medscape UK).
