Action Bladder Cancer UK
Action Bladder Cancer UK was set up in 2009 by a group of urologists and patients who were committed to improving outcomes for bladder cancer patients. Their concern was the low profile of such a common cancer and the lack of both awareness (amongst the public and health professionals) and critical research funding.
We have four main strands to our work:

- Raising awareness of bladder cancer and the symptoms
We are working to improve outcomes for bladder cancer patients by:
- Raising awareness of the signs and symptoms among the public so they seek advice sooner
- Health professional ABC UK Education Programme
- Improving the treatment and management of bladder cancer to increase patient survival rates in line with that achieved for other common cancers.
